Introduction

Timeless Voices of Aviation is a major video history project of the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture Museum. The 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association Timeless Voices goal is to obtain first person oral histories of WWII aviation experiences from as many of our members as possible. Randy Stange, son of Ray Stange initiated the 398th's participation in Timeless Voices and interviewed the first 27 veterans between 2003 to 2005. The effort to interview our 398th veterans continues. Currently all 2003-2013 interviews are now on-line and listed below. Other interviews and presentations by our veterans before the formalization of the Timeless Voices program have also been included in the index below.

398th Timeless Voices Video Interviews by Crews

This list is organized by Squadron then by alphabetically by Crew. Mostly the men flew with the same crew, but occasionally they might have flown a few missions with a different crew or were sometimes transferred to another crew as needed. Association of the interviews below are with the crews the veteran had significant attachment to (or at least the ones we know about). Interviews for co-pilots that became pilots are generally shown twice - with their original crews and then as their own crew. Listings though are alphabetic by pilot surname. While the above are available for free for viewing on the 398th site, it is recognized that there is interest in having the convenience of a DVD and being able to view it on a home TV screen. Prices are $17 for purchases from 398th Members, $22 from non-members, delivery and handling included in the price.
