398th Mascots at Nuthampstead

The light one is an English Cocker Spaniel. The dark one is a Black Scotty dog, possibly named Satan. Bruce L. Payne, son of Col. Mike Payne, 398th Bomb Group pilot, deceased, mentioned that his father spoke of the Chaplain's little black dog at Nuthampstead that was called Satan. The 398th's Chaplain was Rev. Duvall.
