Note:

  1. In June 2009, Mark Alspaugh contacted us indicated that the 6th man from the left in the front row was his step-father Joyce Alonzo McDougal. This man in the photo has no hat, wire rim glasses, and a cigarette in his left hand.
  2. Previously Thomas Mueller had identified this man as Cpl. Howard Goldstein. However, he did list a Sgt. Harry McDougal in his list of Unidentifieds.
  3. As a result this 6th man is now identified as S/Sgt. Joyce Alonzo McDougal and Cpl. Howard Goldstein moved to the list of Unidentifieds.

  1. Aircraft in photo: Unknown
  2. Nose Art: The nose art on this plane appears to be Jiggs of Bringing Up Father aka Jiggs and Maggie from a famous cartoon strip by George McManus which ran from 1913 to 2000.Jiggs' pose on the aircraft is with hat in hand (viewers left) as though meekly facing Maggie when arriving home after a few with the boys.
