  9. Interpretive Comments: The B-17 in the foreground is the 600th's N8-W. However, there are 5 other B-17s readying for takeoff. From the viewer's left to right these are:
    a. K8-L (602nd)
    b. 3O-K (601st)
    c. N8-T (600th)
    d. K8-B (602nd)
    e. B-17 with no lettering visible

    Perhaps the sum of this data will one day allow identification of all the aircraft numbers.
