  6. Photo Location: thought to be Nuthampstead, but could be Rapid City
  7. Crew at time of Photograph: Unknown, possibly Lamb. See Lamb's Crew - 601st Squadron - Spring 1944
  8. Final Disposition of A/C: Started with the 398th in Rapid City for training. Flown with the 601st to England and arrived 23 April 1944. Then transferred out on 27 April 1944 to the 381st. No operations with the 398th.
  9. Interpretive Comments: The B-17 in this photograph, hell's angel, is a B-17 that started out in the States with the 601st, but after modification in England was sent to the 381st. It's nose art is a variation of the 601st squadron logo.
