S/Sgt. James L. Holloway's WWII Escape Map
Below are photographs and scans of S/Sgt. James L. Holloway's WWII Escape Map Scarf. James was a B-17 Tail Gunner in the 398th Bomb Group and 601st Squadron. The scarf was taken along on missions should a bailout take place over enemy territory.

Jim's aviator escape map of Europe was printed on both sides of a large silk scarf. The color and detail are very high quality. The scarf measures 33.5 inches wide by 30.5 inches tall.		 James Holloway donated his scarf in 2003 to the 398th Bomb Group Memorial Association. Dave Jordan provided the following scans and photos.
